Seahawks K.J. Wright Invites Mudville to Preseason Camp
K.J., as well as, Defensive backs Mike Tyson, Shaquill Griffin, Neiko Thorpe, Delano Hill and Tedric Thompson all visited the attending Muddies and their coaches on the field. After the Seahawk practice concluded, K.J. Wright became an honorary Muddie as he was given a fitted blue Mudville cap with the red Tiffany 9 and welcomed to the club by Head Coach Kurt Boyd. K.J. and the other Seahawks later spoke to the players.
One of K.J.’s messages to all Mudville players spoke to how a true teammate is to act and behave. His words of wisdom are similar in how the Seattle Seahawks instill their winning philosophy. The three mandates to which all great teammates follow are:
(1) Protect the team at all costs; protect the coaches, protect the players, protect from rumors and negative hearsay outside the team framework,
(2) Never complain about any team happenings – respect the team concept ands consider yourself blessed to play this game, and
(3) Be early for all team events. Being early sends the message you are ready to give to the success of your team.
