Mudville Coaching Biographies
In 2021, Mudville is in its 22nd year of operations. The Mudville program actively seeks players who have a strong desire to advance to the next level of play. These players must have a strong work ethic with a commitment to academics, family, team, and coaches.
Our club’s coaching philosophy is to surround these types of players with expert instruction in all facets of the game so they can accomplish their goals. Simply put, this is not about recruiting the highest tier high school players, filling out a line-up card, and rolling the ball out to win. Winning with great talent is not hard. The greater challenge is developing the player’s ability, increasing performance in the framework of a team structure while playing the game of baseball correctly.
Our coaches are true mentors; to mold young men into great people and possibly someday, great husbands and fathers. We seek coaches with strong management and teaching skills with at a minimum, professional, collegiate, and/or high school experience. Every coach in our organization is required to attend a minimum of 20 coaching clock hours per year. Our coaches are members of the Washington State Coaches Association (WSCA) and/or the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Membership does have its privileges. Our relationships with many of the members enhance networking opportunities, enables dialogue for player references, and more importantly, develop long-term relationships with organizers, coaches, and scouts at the highest levels of organized ball.
